1.Introduction
Datasigma Technologies LLC ("Datasigma," "we," "our," or "us") operates a B2B contact data platform built from publicly available web sources. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in two distinct roles:
- As a service provider — the information we collect about you when you visit our website or use our platform as an account holder
- As a data compiler — the publicly available business contact information about professionals that makes up our database
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our services.
2.Information We Collect From Account Holders
Information you provide
- Account details — name, work email address, and password when you register, or your basic profile information when you sign in with Google or Microsoft
- Billing information — plan selection and payment details when you subscribe (payment card data is processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers)
- Communications — messages you send us via email, live chat, or support requests
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — searches, filters, saved searches, contacts revealed, exports run, credits used, and uploaded domain lists
- Log and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 9
3.Business Contact Data in Our Database
We process this data on the basis of legitimate interest in facilitating business-to-business communication. We limit the data to professional, business-related information; we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, political, or financial information) or data about private individuals acting outside a professional capacity.
If you are in our database, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it removed. Email support@datasigma.io and we will action removal requests promptly. Once removed, records are suppressed so they are not re-added by future indexing.
We also require our customers, under our Terms of Service, to use this data only for their own internal sales purposes, in compliance with applicable privacy and anti-spam laws, and to honor opt-out requests they receive.
4.How We Use Account Holder Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the platform — including reveals, validation, exports, and credit accounting
- Process subscriptions and payments, and send transaction records
- Send administrative messages such as account, security, and billing notices
- Respond to inquiries and provide support
- Monitor usage to enforce plan limits, prevent fraud and abuse (including multi-account free-credit abuse), and keep the service secure
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
- Comply with legal obligations
5.Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your account information. We share information only:
- With service providers — vendors who host our infrastructure, process payments, provide analytics (Google Analytics), or power our live chat (Crisp), under contractual confidentiality obligations
- In business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction
- For legal compliance — where required by law, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect rights — to investigate or prevent violations of our Terms, fraud, or threats to the safety of any person
Business contact data in our database is made available to paying customers under the strict internal-use license described in our Terms of Service.
6.Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and infrastructure monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active, and thereafter as needed for legal, billing, and security purposes
- Usage records — reveal and export history is retained to guarantee that contacts you revealed remain accessible without re-charging
- Database records — business contact data is refreshed by ongoing indexing and removed upon a data subject's request
- Email validation results — cached for a limited period (currently 30 days) before re-verification
8.Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location (including under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
These rights apply both to account holders and to professionals whose business contact details appear in our database. To exercise any of them, email support@datasigma.io. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9.Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management, and third-party tools for analytics (Google Analytics) and live chat (Crisp). These tools may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the platform from working.
10.International Transfers
Our services are operated from infrastructure that may be located in different countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11.Third-Party Websites
Our website and product contain links to third-party sites — including the source URLs cited on contact records. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
12.Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
13.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date, and will notify you of material changes.
